“The primary objective of the SAFE Association is to stimulate research and development in the fields of safety and survival, and to disseminate pertinent information to concerned individuals in government and industry. In addition, the objective is to establish and maintain a meaningful relationship between the SAFE Association and the scientific communities related to safety and survival.”

In accordance with the above, the mission of the Aerospace ATD Advisory Group is to bring together key individuals in the fields of crash and escape system testing for the following purposes:

  • Exchange of scientific and technical information.
  • Improving the co-operation among nations in aerospace ATDs research and development.
  • Act as a steering committee to advance industry and government standards and guidance for consistency across organizations.
  • Make recommendations with regards to aerospace anthropomorphic test devices (ATDs), biomechanical response, instrumentation systems and data processing, and injury analysis methods.

Topic of discussions include:

  1. Adult Dummies: Past and Present.
  2. Lessons Learned from Members and/or Programs.
  3. Egress/Crash Dummy Requirements and Goals.
  4. Biomechanical Impact Response and Data Acquisition Needs.
  5. Develop ATDs Configuration Standards (Physical and Digital).

You do not need to have purchased a SAFE Symposium ticket to attend this one event.
